Cricket Legend Kim Hughes is coming to Collier Park
Posted on July 22, 2022
We’re excited to announce WA Cricket legend Kim Hughes is coming to Collier Park – September 9th
(But not to talk specifically about Cricket).
Kim Hughes – former Australian cricket captain – is coming to Collier Park on the 9th of September to deliver a talk about his past challenges, and the steps he took to overcome them.
And you are invited!
Kim is an ambassador for Bouncing Back, a mental health awareness program specifically designed for mental health training for WA sporting clubs.
According to the Australian Health and Welfare in 2019, Suicide is the leading cause of death for men aged 15-44, which is the average age range of sporting club members.
At Collier Park, we’re committed to doing our part to help improve the mental health of all people.
As an “Act. Belong. Commit” partner with Mentally Healthy WA, we are determined to help improve the lives of as many people as possible, by talking more about the effects of mental health and providing people with opportunities to improve their own.
We’re tremendously proud to be working with Kim and Bouncing Back to deliver this opportunity.
The night will include:
- a 30 minute speech and presentation by Kim and Bouncing Back Facilitator Paul Peacock
- a chance to meet him after the presentation
- And nibbles are provided and drinks are available for purchase
Registrations for this event are essential, but FREE. And you can book your place below with how many other people are attending.
