We’re Officially Underway: Collier Park’s Transformational Redevelopment Has Begun!

Boom! It's happening. The green light is on. And Collier Park's next chapter is "officially" getting started.

After months (and months…) of planning, designing, dreaming, and getting everything on site ready (*cough* fences *cough*), we’re thrilled to share that Collier Park has officially teed off with our sod-turning on Thursday 19th March.

At the Sod Turning, City of South Perth Mayor Greg Milner had this to say about our exciting transformation:

“This redevelopment will enable Collier Park to become a true community hub, where quality golfing experiences sit alongside dining, leisure and entertainment”.

Collier Park General Manager, Gemma Nicholson, had this to say:

“We’re so excited to get this long-awaited redevelopment underway! What a privilege it is to be able to deliver a venue for the entire community. Whether you’re bringing the kids down to play Mini Golf or in the playground, or you’re figuring out what this Padel game is all about, we’ll have such a beautiful setting in which you can enjoy it all – topped off with a great meal and a reason to get your favourite people together. For our golfers, it means our facilities will match the incredible quality of our golf course and gives us more pathways to grow the game in future generations.  I can’t wait for the buildings to take shape now – it’s time for a new, exciting chapter for Collier Park!”

We can't wait to see this transformation get underway and bring a new, exciting chapter to this incredible facility.

So… What’s in-store for Collier Park again?

In short: a whole new way to find time for play and to do it with your favourite people!

Collier Park is set to transform into one of Perth’s most welcoming leisure and recreation destinations, bringing together great golf, food, fun, and community in ways we’ve never seen before.

Here’s exactly what you can get excited for:

  • A brand-new restaurant – designed to be a destination in its own right, whether you’re here to celebrate, catch up, or simply enjoy great food with great people.
  • A 48-bay, double-story driving range – with tech in every bay, making practice more dialed in, and making free time more fun and interactive (complete with food & bev ordering too).
  • 4 new Padel courts – bringing one of the world’s fastest growing sports to Collier Park, enabling Padel enthusiasts and beginners alike to enjoy this social game.
  • A new retail experience – supporting our golf and padel community with equipment, apparel, and most importantly – expertise.
  • A new playgroundcreating a place for kids of all abilities, to have fun and play, all in a safe environment.
  • And our same great 27-hole golf course and mini golf course – because some things should never change!

All of this, wrapped into a precinct designed for locals, families, friends, and the wider Perth community to get away from the overwhelm of life and find time for play – together.

What does this mean right now?

You’ll start to see construction activity ramp up on site, with works progressing in stages as we bring this redevelopment to life.

And while the Collier Park you’re used to will begin to look a little different along the way, our focus remains the same:

  • Clear and transparent communication, so you know how the build is progressing
  • Safe and thoughtful site management, so our facility can remain open, and you can remain safe
  • And continuing to deliver great experiences at Collier Park throughout the journey

We’ll keep you updated as key milestones are reached. Get ready – there’s going to be plenty of exciting moments to come.

Your role in site safety

If you’re coming to Collier Park throughout the redevelopment (which we hope you do), you can play a big part in this process being a successful one, by accepting it’s everyone’s responsibility to act, drive and behave safely!

Please bear in mind:

  1. There will be more construction vehicles on the driveway – please slow down as you enter/exit the venue and be patient if a construction vehicle holds you up for a few seconds (don’t worry, we’ll make sure your golf game still gets underway)
  2. Please park only in designated parking bays (no verge parking) to help us protect the trees and vegetation
  3. Feel free to peek through the construction fencing, but under no circumstances should anyone but our construction team venture into the site. We know it’s tempting, but with safety being our number 1 priority, and with lots of heavy machinery and materials around, this is an absolute zero-tolerance item.
  4. The pathway to the Pines course intersects with a site entrance. We will continually adapt our tee sheet to construction activities to allow extra time on the Pines course on high traffic days, so even if you are held up momentarily by deliveries or machinery, you won’t be chased down by the next group.

  5. Please note – unfortunately we do not currently have practice chipping & putting areas. For your safety, and for the efficiency of our hard-working grounds staff, DO NOT use the golf course greens as practice areas.

And yes – we’re staying open while we build!

Importantly – our plan is to remain open throughout the entire redevelopment!

Golf, mini golf, the beer garden, and all our existing facilities will continue operating as normal while works progress around the site.

Which means we’ll continue to ask for your help:

  • always look out for wayfinding signage
  • and listen to staff direction,

That way, we can still get you out on the course safely.

If anything is ever set to change, we’ll be sure to let you know well in advance – but our goal is to keep you playing, gathering, and enjoying Collier Park every step of the way.

This is just the beginning!

Collier Park has always been about more than just about any one activity.

It’s about people coming together, enjoying themselves, and taking time out of their busy lives for some genuine chances to play.

This redevelopment is our biggest step yet in bringing that vision to life – and we’re so glad to have you along for the journey.

Big things are officially underway.

Stay tuned – you won’t want to miss out!
